Disability Etiquette Workshops help employees become more comfortable interacting with customers, the public, and employees who have disabilities. Host a Disability Etiquette Workshop at your workplace and your employees will learn: how to create a welcoming environment for customers, the public, and employees; how to effectively interact with people with diverse abilities; what to say and appropriate behavior when working with the public or an employee with a disability.
The city-wide ReelAbilities Film & Arts Festival offers programming for management or employees: companies are invited to host a screening of a disability-related film or speaker-led discussion at your site.
Companies needing assistance with providing reasonable accommodations to employees are able to contact The JFS Alexander Institute for Inclusion's professional staff for suggestions. Accommodation workshops can be tailored to your needs.
To schedule a workshop, contact Laura Alter, Employment Services Manager: LAlter@jfshouston.org (713) 667-9336 x207 (voice/711 relay).
